Frequently Asked Questions
What is the thickness and material?
The manganese steel (black) version is 3mm thick. The aluminum (silver) version is 5mm thick. Both are available in our store.
What is manganese steel and why is it better than mild steel?
Manganese steel is a work-hardening alloy — it actually gets harder each time it is struck. This makes it superior to mild steel for skid plates, resisting denting and deformation from rock strikes far better than standard steel.
Do I need to remove the skid plate for oil changes or servicing?
Yes — the skid plates need to be removed to access the underside of the vehicle for routine maintenance. They bolt on and off easily with basic hand tools. Most owners find this a minor inconvenience for the level of protection provided.
Manganese steel or aluminum — which should I choose?
Manganese steel (3mm, black) for serious rock crawling and repeated heavy impacts. Aluminum (5mm, silver) for overlanding, fire roads, and moderate off-road use — lighter and still excellent protection.
Can I buy all the skid plates as a kit?
Yes — the Complete Manganese Steel Underbody Protection Kit includes all four plates at a discounted bundle price.
Where does this ship from and how long does delivery take?
Manufactured at our facility and shipped worldwide with full tracking. Delivery typically takes 4–6 weeks.

Perfect fit, super happy.
Really happy with the quality and fit, but took almost two weeks to arrive. Worth the wait though.
Had to shave a tiny bit off one mounting tab to clear a bracket, but overall solid build and good steel.
Thick steel, clean welds, fit was spot on. Took it through some nasty terrain last weekend and not a scratch on the diff.
Quality is there for sure. Just wish the included hardware came with clearer labeling, had to guess at a couple bolts.
